The Hangar
The Hangar is a temporary shipping container venue to be installed for the duration of the festival in a prominent space in Civic Park.
Part-cabaret theatre, part-bar and part-festival hub, The Hangar will showcase a range of local performers through the festival. Its anchor show will be produced by Zackari Watt and celebrate Newcastle’s unique and long-standing engagement with circus, cabaret and alternative performance.
Outside the theatre, The Hangar will provide a relaxed bar atmosphere with live music and ‘sideshow’ style performance. Inside, the mainstage production 'Intergalacular Sci-Fi Spectacular' will have a season and be ticketed separately (which includes entry to the Hangar from with show ticket).
