Manifesting as a multi-media ephemeral installation combining clay, paper, and a range of upcycled materials, Hand Picked is an ode to the passing seasons and the need to preserve our earth and environment. Create intricate flowers to form a ground cover within the gallery as part of the Clouds exhibition, designed to bring the local community together to celebrate spring and create art.

Explore the gallery and studio spaces, and create colourful flowers from both clay and paper to then be placed in the Newcastle Art Space gallery creating an organically formed garden bed and vertical garden. In keeping with the theme of the passing seasons, all materials, including clay, will be recycled and re-used following the exhibition.

Alongside the open studios, The Clayroom Tighes Hill will hold clay workshops for young and old operating in their studios for families to come together and make a collaborative piece.  NAS artists will open their studios to the public to wander through and meet the artist.
